jubro Posted November 15, 2022 Posted November 15, 2022 I have just installed AP on a new machine and am setting up my preferences. Previously I installed the NIK FX plugins in the specific order I wanted them to show in the dropdown menu. I just installed the entire NIK folder as one and they appeared in the dropdown menu in alphabetical order. So, I removed them (though they weren't actually removed after restarting AP until I restarted my machine), and installed them one-by-one in my preferred order (as I remembered doing on my previous machine). However, they have re-ordered themselves alphabetically. Has AP remembered and applied the order from the initial installation? How can I get around this? The reason I want them ordered is because I use the Silver FX plugin a lot, but the others infrequently, and it's towards the bottom of the list. Thanks. David in Яuislip Posted November 15, 2022 Posted November 15, 2022 You could try editing status.json into the order you need, it is here %UserProfile%\.affinity\Photo\2.0\Plugins but work on a copy and don't blame me if your clocks start running backwards Quote Microsoft Windows 11 Home, Intel i7-1360P 2.20 GHz, 32 GB RAM, 1TB SSD, Intel Iris Xe Affinity Photo - 24/05/20, Affinity Publisher - 06/12/20, KTM Superduke - 27/09/10

David in Яuislip Posted November 16, 2022 Posted November 16, 2022 Ok, plan b If you add a sort letter to the folder names then it presents in that order, is this what you're after? I've only added a z to Analog Efex as a trial but it all works ok jubro 1 Quote Microsoft Windows 11 Home, Intel i7-1360P 2.20 GHz, 32 GB RAM, 1TB SSD, Intel Iris Xe Affinity Photo - 24/05/20, Affinity Publisher - 06/12/20, KTM Superduke - 27/09/10

You can add ! or - or space instead of a letter. jubro 1 Quote All the latest releases of Designer, Photo and Publisher (retail and beta) on MacOS and Windows. 13.3” MacBook Pro (2017) ● Ventura 13.6 ● Intel Core i7 (3.50 GHz Dual Core) ● 16 GB 2133 MHz LPDDR3 ● Intel Iris Plus Graphics 650 1536 MB ● 500 GB SSD ● Retina Display (3360 x 2100) 15” Dell Inspiron 7559 i7 ● Windows 10 x64 Pro ● Intel Core i7-6700HQ (3.50 GHz, 6M) ● 16 GB Dual Channel DDR3L 1600 MHz (8GBx2) ● NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M 4 GB GDDR5 ● 500 GB SSD + 1 TB HDD ● UHD (3840 x 2160) Truelife LED - Backlit Touch Display 32” LG 32UN650-W display ● 3840 x 2160 UHD, IPS, HDR10 ● Color Gamut: DCI-P3 95%, Color Calibrated ● 2 x HDMI, 1 x DisplayPort
