jackamus Posted November 15, 2022 Posted November 15, 2022 Sometimes it woulds be useful to be able to draw a rectangular object to coincide with another objects bounding box but when attempting to do this the rectangular tool cursor changes to one that only moves the bounding box. Aammppaa Posted November 15, 2022 Posted November 15, 2022 Hit the Escape key to deselect the previous object before dragging the new one. Quote Win10 Home x64 | AMD Ryzen 7 2700X @ 3.7GHz | 48 GB RAM | 1TB SSD | nVidia GTX 1660 | Wacom Intuos Pro
jackamus Posted November 15, 2022 Author Posted November 15, 2022 Thanks but that doesn't work! I want to be able to see the bounding box whilst dragging the rectangle to coincide with it. Aammppaa Posted November 15, 2022 Posted November 15, 2022 Why not rely on snapping to align with the existing bounding box? You're not hoping to align by eye right? If you want a visual indicator, then I'd suggest turning on Snapping > Show Snapping Candidates which will give the target object a purple outline, but one that can't be used to move / resize. jackamus Posted November 15, 2022 Author Posted November 15, 2022 Cheers for this work-round. It worked OK. Aammppaa 1 Quote If voting made any difference it wouldn't be allowed!
