No upgrade? Expect better of serif

Recommended Posts

I must say that as an existing user it’s very disappointing that:

1. I had to find out via a generic Google news feed that a new version was out;

2. That there is no upgrade option to reward those of us that have been supporting the product as consumers for a while?

I’d been hoping that Serif would be taking a McNeel rather than Adobe approach to its community.

Can Serif guarantee that they won’t just force existing users to rebuy again and again as we progress? Will the “Universal License” really be Universal?

If you have an Affinity Store account, and opted-in to their marketing emails, you should have gotten an email. Unless it went into your Spam folder, or your email provider simply threw it away. I've had both of those happen.

Or, if you're using the V1 programs, and you haven't disabled the Welcome screen, there was an announcement there.
