Unexpected artifacts when exporting JPEG or PNG images from Sony ARW files. V1.10 or V2.0 Problem?

I noticed random artifacts in nearly ALL my exported images. This seems to have coincided with installing V2 (which I now regret since it's missing some features like visibility of the Metadata in the export dialog).  I previously had been (and still am able to) use 1.10.5.1342.

Here is the same portion of the image viewed in the Photo persona.  Note that the artifacts (mostly horizontal white lines) occur in ALL exports to various degrees - whether the image is resized or not, whether it's PNG, or JPEG.

I'm now scrambling to find something that I can actually use, perhaps GIMP.  I hadn't noticed this problem previously in 1.10 - but then I've not been actively processing photos for a while.

A suggested solution would be nice...  I've even tried switching the "default open program back to 1.10" - and that seemed to make things worse.  Indeed, I believe that V2 and V1 are fighting one another because I just repeated the operations by starting with opening V2 directly (rather than double clicking the ARW file and letting it launch Affinity) and this problem didn't repeat.  Maybe this problem occurred when I recently upgraded 1.10 and I didn't catch it until now.
