Affinity Photo V2 - Cannot change type size

I have a file with formatted type. 3D and outline. When I cut and paste it into another file I cannot change the type size. I can still change the font and layer effects Added I just created new text in this document and I cannot change the text size.

I can't seem to recreate this issue here please could you provide a sample document demonstrating this issue and if possible a screen recording that also demonstrates the problem?
