Martin_S Posted November 12, 2022 Posted November 12, 2022 I want to rotate the canvas with the command and mouse wheel in APhoto V1 but it won't work. Enable canvas rotation in the preferences ist activated and I am running Big Sur. What could cause the problem? Thanks in advance Martin Quote
MikeTO Posted November 12, 2022 Posted November 12, 2022 Do you have Enable Canvas Rotation with Cmd+scroll wheel checked or just the other one? When this is checked it rotates properly for me. Staff NathanC Posted February 10, 2023 Staff Posted February 10, 2023 Welcome to the forums@Martin_S, Apologies on the late reply, what mouse are you using? Is it a regular mouse with a scroll wheel or a magic mouse? Quote

h_d Posted February 11, 2023 Posted February 11, 2023 I've just tested this with a bog-standard USB mouse (TechRise from Amazon). Photo 2.0.4, other specs in my sig. CMD+scroll wheel zooms rather than rotating the canvas. Turning off 'Enable canvas rotation with trackpad' doesn't make any difference. @NathanC Apple Magic Mice don't have scroll wheels as such, although I believe you can double-finger drag. It worked for me so I wonder if you have something else going on with your system. Do you have the Logitech software installed and if so what are its settings? Martin_S Posted February 11, 2023 Author Posted February 11, 2023 Logitech Options is installed with default settings. I just tried my old Logitech G700 mouse and canvas rotation with command and mouse wheel works fine. It's either the mouse or the Logitech Options App. Quote

I know there are good reasons to install the Logitech software, but if you just want a good mouse and don't care about the extra features, Logitech mice work perfectly on macOS without the software installed. It's one less thing to go wrong.
