Canvas rotation with scroll wheel won't work

Recommended Posts

I've just tested this with a bog-standard USB mouse (TechRise from Amazon). Photo 2.0.4, other specs in my sig.

CMD+scroll wheel zooms rather than rotating the canvas.

Turning off 'Enable canvas rotation with trackpad' doesn't make any difference.

@NathanC Apple Magic Mice don't have scroll wheels as such, although I believe you can double-finger drag.

I am using a Logitech LIFT, connected with Bluetooth

I just tried it again in v1 and v2 with a common Logitech bluetooth mouse without Logitech software installed and it worked correctly. macOS Ventura with everything relevant set to factory defaults. It worked for me so I wonder if you have something else going on with your system.

Do you have the Logitech software installed and if so what are its settings?

Logitech Options is installed with default settings.

I just tried my old Logitech G700 mouse and canvas rotation with command and mouse wheel works fine. It's either the mouse or the Logitech Options App.

Thanks for confirming. I know there are good reasons to install the Logitech software, but if you just want a good mouse and don't care about the extra features, Logitech mice work perfectly on macOS without the software installed. It's one less thing to go wrong.
