I can't create any document at Affinity Designer. Problem is related to all Affinity new 2V app. I can't creat at any of it new document.

I use Lenovo Thinkpad W520 with Quadro 2000 VGA, 32GB RAM, SSD. OS Windows 10 Version 10.0.19044.2251. It is after today updates from Microsoft (09. Nov 2022). Previous version at the same OS working.

I tried install:

1. Without uinstall old, install new, uninstall old (V1 Affity Suite all 3 apps).

2. Restart, install Affinity Designer, restart, create document.

Pressing Ctrl don't change anything. After changing Settings > Performance > Render to Microsoft Basic Render Driver it start working. Is it correct behaviour at this platform?

@luke.s Affinity Designer v2 did not crash for me when dragging a webp file to a new document. Could you share the file that is causing this problem for you?

As I mentioned above, after computer restart I can't replicate problem. Probably It was something wrong on the system (Win 10) side. After restart everything works fine, with all the files and files creation in AD

The same problem. All three programs crash for me when I create a new document

This thread was about crashing after creating a new document and then dragging a webp file to it. If you re getting a crash when creating a new document it might be better to start a new thread to avoid confusion. It would be good to share a crash report in that new thread, too.
