Affinity V2 Universal License Upgrade Discount link - won't let me proceed once I log in

I've clicked through from an email with my personal discount link to upgrade to the universal license. 

It's all good until I log in, at which point I get an error which says "We're sorry something has gone wrong. If you're unable to place this order, or continue seeing this message please contact our customer support operatives who will be able to assist you with this further."

There is no option to enter payment details or otherwise proceed with the purchase. No buy button.

I'm definitely logging into the same account that the email was sent to. 

How do I take advantage of the discount in the account I've already created? Because at the moment I think it will only let me use a new email address and I don't want to do that.
