Dreatern
Title This is a KNOWN ISSUE...... but it's getting old So far nothing has been done by serif, other than recommending the uninstall of system updates. Is it impossible to release a fix for the issue so that it is not necessary to uninstall updates?? Is it possible to make the software work on an updated system? Dan C
Hi @Dreatern, 12 minutes ago, Dreatern said: So far nothing has been done by serif, other than recommending the uninstall of system updates. I can confirm that our developers have logged this issue with the Microsoft team, who have confirmed this as a bug and are working on a fix - as it has been verified that this issue affects many WPF apps, not only Affinity (WPF is the framework we use for Affinitys UI), as outlined here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/1025021/issue-with-kb5017262-cumulative-update-preview-for.html https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/1027291/issue-with-kb5017262-amp-kb5017270-cause-wpf-appli.html Therefore Microsoft are aware of this issue and should hopefully address it in a future update - without the need for Affinity to be updated to resolve this issue. 13 minutes ago, Dreatern said: Is it impossible to release a fix for the issue so that it is not necessary to uninstall updates?? As above, we're waiting for Microsoft for a further update here. 14 minutes ago, Dreatern said: Is it possible to make the software work on an updated system? In the second post of the FAQ you've provided, there is a workaround that other Forum users have confirmed temporarily resolves the issue with the Windows update installed - however this is currently untested by the Affinity team, and therefore we can't directly recommend this, but you are welcome to try this method if you wish. I hope this clears things up! Dreatern
Dreatern
Thanks for the answer. Good to know that it's something that will be fixed (I hope soon) because I have to constantly pause updates to prevent uninstalled ones from installing again.
