augustya Posted November 2, 2022 Posted November 2, 2022 Hi Guys, I had a question lets say if you have a Photo and if there is a subject who is standing amidst a garden which has some plants in it and you want to extend bring that Plants closer to the Subject how do you do that ? I am talking about a job which something like the inpainting brush does that kind of work, but inpainting brush does not do a customized job. So how can that be done. For e.g. I want to replace the guys in this attached photo which are sitting close to the subject with the plants from the garden and make it look that the Garden is extended. Please see the attached image for explanantion Quote
Dan C Posted November 2, 2022 Posted November 2, 2022 Hi @augustya, From the image you've provided, I would recommend trying the Clone Brush Tool - as this will allow you to specific which section of the image you would like to 'copy', to cover up these subjects in the background. Using the Clone Tool Brush, you can set the source point to be the plants besides these people in the image, then paint with the tool to cover the subjects as required. Is this what you're hoping to achieve? Quote

Is this what you're hoping to achieve? Partially Yes, But I want it to be a perfect position coming right close to the subject's Tshirt. I mean the Plants coming close to the subjects T-shirt. making it look impeccable. So how do I do this ? Make a Pixel Layer and on that Just use the clone brush tool but what about bringing the tress close to the edges of the Subject Tshirt making it look natural ? Quote
Dan C Posted November 2, 2022 Posted November 2, 2022 I understand - a Pixel layer with a Mask for your foreground subject would be a good way to achieve this, as you could then Clone freely on this new layer, but anything cloned over the main subject would be hidden by the mask. In regards to making this look 'right', it's mostly personal preference as to how you want the image to appear. Changing the depth of the background for an image can appear unnatural, so I would also recommend trying out different blur filters on the cloned pixel layer, to better blur this into your final image augustya 1 Quote
mrqasq Posted November 2, 2022 Posted November 2, 2022 sadly you haven't provided exact source image. So got the image without the text on it. Quote

That kind.of thing is not possible or applicable in my requirement here ? Quote

You certainly could create a pixel selection on the image, then copy this selection - when pasting this will create a new pixel layer with the selection area only. However a colleague of mine has recommended an even better option for you, doing the following: Open this image In Photo Create a selection of the main foreground subject Cut, then Paste this selection - this subject should now be a new layer above the background image Deselect the pixel selection (Escape Key), then using the Move Tool select the background image layer resize the image from the bottom corner node, such that the subjects in the background are now hidden by the shoulder of the foreground subject Inpaint any remaining areas that haven't been fully hidden I've created a quick screen recording of this below: 2022-11-02 15-20-40.mp4 I hope this helps! augustya 1 Quote
