Olaf Goette Posted November 1, 2022 Posted November 1, 2022 I'm using Affinity Photo with my iMac Pro and my MacBookPro both running macOS Ventura. To my iMac the original keyboard and trackpad are attached, my MacBook has keyboard and trackpad built in. On my iMac everything is running fine, but on my MBP I had a big problem: When starting the crop tool I wasn't able to size or move it. I've tried a lot. At the end I've attached a very old mouse via USB to the MBP and now it's running like a charme. Seems that Affinity Photo has a problem with the built in trackpad of the MBP. Btw. the problem already occured with macOS Monterey. Greetings from Germany! Quote
Dan C Posted November 1, 2022 Posted November 1, 2022 Hi Olaf Goette, Just a thought, do you have tap to click turned on in your systems trackpad preferences? OSX has different preferences for mouse and trackpad behaviours which could explain why things are acting differently. Lee Quote
Olaf Goette Posted November 2, 2022 Author Posted November 2, 2022 @LeeThorpe Yes, "tap to click" is activated on both devices. Quote
Dan C Posted November 2, 2022 Posted November 2, 2022 Check your dragging options in trackpad settings... and choose one that suits you, it's likely that the OS is not recognising your drags. Lee Quote
Olaf Goette Posted November 3, 2022 Author Posted November 3, 2022 @LeeThorpe, I did it. It was set to "without..." and I changed it to "three fingers". Now it works, but not as it schould. After opening the crop tool now I have to set the cursor to the edge I want to move, perform a three fingers drag and after that I can move the edge. If I want to move another edge, I have to do the same: Go to the edge, 3 fingers drag and move the edge. That's also a workaround, but better than mine: No cable mouse needed. But Affinity should check and solve it. Quote
