GeirSol
When adding weight to letters I often need to add an outline to my text in the same color as the fill. When changing the fill color, I need to carefully change outline color as well. For many instances this can be time-consuming and error-prone. Could there be a color-setting "link to fill color" ? GarryP
You could set a Global Colour and use that to colour both the stroke and fill. Then you can change the Global Colour to change both at the same time. Note: It’s usually not ‘best’ to add a stroke to text as it ‘messes with’ the design of the text. I wasn't familiar with global color. That's really helpful. But, no way to set outline to global color? Edit: Found it. Thanks! btw: Sorry for not asking/searching properly before suggesting feature
GarryP
You’re welcome. (If you didn’t know what a Global Colour was then I don’t know what you could have searched for – you could have been on ages looking at hundreds of threads.) Note: Even if you are using a Global Colour, some settings – e.g. Tint; Opacity; and some others, I think – are set locally to the layer and don’t change when you change the Global Colour. Just something to be aware of. I think the feature request – link stroke and fill colour – is still a valid one because of the issues in the note I have just written.
