ScottClark Posted October 18, 2022 Posted October 18, 2022 It should be very easy to simply select a single colour and replace it with another. Why isn't this a thing? I imagine there would be a lot of interest in such a tool. Quote
Dan C Posted October 18, 2022 Posted October 18, 2022 Hi @ScottClark, Welcome to the Affinity Forums 43 minutes ago, ScottClark said: It should be very easy to simply select a single colour and replace it with another. Why isn't this a thing? Are you referring to text objects you wish to recolour, or other objects in your document please? If you're looking to recolour text, this can be done using the Find and Replace Studio in Publisher - you can find more info regarding this tool below: https://affinity.serif.com/tutorials/publisher/desktop/video/337309804/ https://affinity.help/publisher/English.lproj/index.html?page=pages/Text/find_and_replace.html?title=Find and replace I hope this helps! jgzaremba Posted October 18, 2022 Posted October 18, 2022 I'm currently struggling with the same thing-- is there not a plain ol' selection tool in Affinity? I have downloaded a white IG logo.png for a CV. I just want to select the white logo (translucent background) and fill it with another color so that I can see it on a white background. I feel like I have done this a million times in Adobe, but feel super silly for not finding the right tools to click on here and the tutorials I find online refer to the selection tool that I am used to seeing and cannot find in my toolbar. whut. Komatös Posted October 18, 2022 Posted October 18, 2022 Hi @jgzaremba Create a new fill layer, select the colour you want the design layer to have. Drag the fill layer onto the subject layer until you see a long blue line.
