Hello,
I have a problem that I can not solve myself.
With Windows 11 I can't get Affinity Publisher to work from version 1.10.x onwards. After startup the program pops up very fast, disappears again.
The last working version is 1.9.2, which also works fine.
Who knows how to help me?
Many thanks.

Yes, I have deactivated HW acceleration.

My notebook has two graphic cards, but no Nvidia or AMD. Only Intel Arc A370M and Intel Iris Xe Graphics.
The old version of Affinity Publisher 1.9.2 has no problem.

Yes - HW Acceleration in Affinity applications is supported only from version 1.10 (Windows version), and is the source of frequent application crashes.

Are you talking about this setup?

It was available in 1.9, too. (Release Notes for 1.9.0)

Hi Psenda,
I would not have thought that this setting is the reason.

Since I can not open the version 1.10.5, I installed the old version 1.9.2 again. In this setup I have deactivated this setting and installed the version 1.10.5 as update.

Now Publisher works regardless of Windows 11 settings. This is definitely a bug with Publisher and certainly with Photo and Designer.

Workflow:
1. You install version 1.9.2 (last working version).
2. Your setting in Publisher -> Deactivate of HW

3. Update to version 1.10.5

Problem solved! :D
Thank you Psenda. Many greetings to Praha.

Great that it helped.
There are still frequent problems with HW Acceleration, so the first advice for inexplicable behavior and application crashes is - try turning it off 🙂

P.S. if someone still needs it, it can be turned off without the need to reinstall.
