jimh12345 Posted September 11, 2022 Posted September 11, 2022 When I add an adjustment I usually want to mask it to part of the photo. That means I have to first use the paint bucket tool, select black, fill the adjustment mask, then select the brush tool, and select white. Every single time. Sigh. Is there a way I can add an adjustment with the mask defaulting to all black? Quote

Is there a way I can add an adjustment with the mask defaulting to all black? The rare occasions I need to do this I hit Command + I on the Mac, most likely it is Control + I for Windows. This is the Shortcut for Invert. Turns black to white, dark grey to light grey, Green to Magenta etc. Quote Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6 Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 | Beta versions as they appear. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
jimh12345 Posted September 11, 2022 Author Posted September 11, 2022 Thanks, that's at least quicker than the paint bucket fill. Quote

To fill anything, most of the times, I use a shortcut. Edit > Preferences > Keyboard shortcuts > Photo / Edit > Fill with primary colour / Fill with secondary colour Old Bruce 1 Quote
