Affinity Publisher, black window only

Recommended Posts

Affinity Publisher stopped working by not displaying any content in the main window any longer (see attachment). I tried restart and reinstalling the software already.

macOS 12.5.1, Affinity Publisher 1.10.5

Any advice?

That is because 1) you do not have a document open so there is no document content to display & 2) because the UI (the Tool & Studio panels & the toolbars) have been hidden by pressing the Tab key or choosing Toggle UI on the View menu.

So like @GarryP mentioned, the quickest & easiest way to show the UI is to press the Tab key to toggle it back on.

You still won't see any document content until/unless you either open an existing file or create a new one from the File menu, or double-click on a document file in Finder that APub is set to open.
