Hi, very new to using any kind of software like this so bare with me if this is obvious. When I go to to use a brush or pencil tool to draw, as soon as I release the line it automatically brings up the nodes to manipulate the line. This is great but I don't want to have to hit my deselect hotkey every time I draw a line. I want to be able to see what it looks like clearly as and after I'm done drawing it; not the bright blue node line immediately following it. Is there a way to disable this? Many of the people in affinity's creative sessions videos don't seem to have this happen

There is no option to prevent the drawn nodes from displaying after drawing a vector line but if you press the Esc key these nodes will be hidden.

You can also switch to a different tool like the Move or View tool using a keyboard shortcut, or just hold down the Space key to temporarily switch to the View Tool, which will hide the nodes until you release that key.

Also, at least for me the AD Vector Brush Tool does not show its nodes during or after I draw with it, so I am not sure what you mean about using a brush & the nodes appearing when you stop drawing with it.
