Cinders626 Posted July 17, 2022 Posted July 17, 2022 I am very new at affinity and watched beginner videos. Trying to do designs and put in the width and Height making sure to Lock was set to on. Now when I tried another design the the width will stay but height jumps to another number and wont lock sizes in place. What am I doing wrong? Also, a video said to set DPI to 400 but it jumps back to 300. How do I change this? I even made a preset and still number jumps back to 300 DPI. Thank you in advance any help would be greatly appreciated Quote
R C-R Posted July 17, 2022 Posted July 17, 2022 The lock locks the height to width aspect ratio, so if it is locked changing either width or height will change the other dimension proportionally to maintain the same aspect ratio. Whereas only Export offers an option to create a preset – but the selected resolution in the options dialog does not jump back, even without a custom preset, unless you alter the resolution, for instance by choosing another preset.
