These forums are provided for Affinity customers to ask questions about Affinity software. Please do not create forum accounts here to ask Legacy Software questions. Any threads created here on the Affinity Forums requesting support for these products will be locked by our team and you will simply be pointed back to this thread, as we wish to keep these forums for Affinity support only. Serif no longer sells or supports the Plus range of software. Serif can not provide any legacy products as downloads to legacy customers. Serif are very proud of the Legacy range and how it facilitated the first 25 years of the company's existence. Starting with DrawPlus, PhotoPlus and PagePlus we went on to release many other products including the incredibly successful WebPlus. New copies of Serif Legacy Software are not available from Serif or sold by Serif on other platforms (like Amazon). These are the deprecated products: PagePlus DrawPlus PhotoPlus WebPlus MoviePlus PhotoStack AlbumPlus PanoramaPlus and Scan Stitch & Share CraftArtist & Digital Scrapbook Artist All other products not sold for many years (like ImpactPlus, FontManager, Content & Digikits and Third Party Products ) It has been more than 6 years since Serif last released a legacy product, PagePlus X9. Serif withdrew from sale the then discounted Legacy (Plus) range 2½ years ago. and during that time Serif continued to maintain a support forum called CommunityPlus editing posts to reflect any changes to services, like Serif Web Resources and Serif Hosting closing down. That Legacy Support Forum has now been closed. As that website was the only official place for Legacy Support, its closure also marked the end of the support that Serif will offer on those Legacy products. If you require assistance that the posts below do not provide, a dedicated member of the Plus range community has created their own unofficial legacy forums to help to continue to support users, but please note this is not directly affiliated with Serif - https://punster.me/serif/ The rest of this thread includes some standard answers that may still come up. Any legacy software (PagePlus, WebPlus, DrawPlus, PhotoPlus etc) that requests a registration key can use this Universal Registration Key 881887 ..that's it, just type that and the registration dialog will go away. Affinity orders placed through https://affinity.store create a separate Affinity account whose Help/FAQ is here and the Affinity Software Product Keys are stored in your Affinity Account. Serif stopped using the Legacy Accounts database for all new software sales since 14th May 2018 and all new sales of PagePlus X9, PhotoPlus X8 and DrawPlus X8 after that date have created Affinity store accounts. Purchases Before 14th May 2018 Your product Key should be in an email sent to the address your original order was placed under. Until recently any customer with a Legacy Account could access information on historical purchases. That is no longer possible because as part of our GDPR exposure review and subsequent changes we have decided to remove the legacy login on for customers. If you cannot find that email and you have an older computer that used to run our software then try this: Backing up your installed Product Keys To retrieve your Serif Product Keys from the installed software on an existing machine go to the computer where it is installed .... (Option A) Copy this command to the Windows clipboard: REG QUERY "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Serif" /s /v "Product Key" >> %UserProfile%\Desktop\Serif_ProductKeys.txt Now go to Start > Run... (or hold down the Windows key and press R) and type cmd into the box. Press OK, right-click in the window that pops up, choose Paste and then press the Enter key on your keyboard. Now copy this command to the Windows clipboard: REG QUERY "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Serif" /s /v "Product Key" >> %UserProfile%\Desktop\Serif_ProductKeys.txt (i.e. almost the same, but with '\Wow6432Node' included in the folder path) right-click in the window that pops up, choose Paste and then press the Enter key on your keyboard. Find the text file 'Serif_ProductKeys.txt' on your Desktop and double-click it to view the contents. Print it out or Save it onto an external drive in case your existing computer drive fails. (Option B) Download the file SaveSerifProductKeys.txt (click on the name to download) and follow these instructions to turn it into a batch file. Once downloaded find the file in your Download folder In Explorer. Right click on the downloaded file and choose Properties. On the general tab you will probably need to press Unblock. Then rename it as a SaveSerifProductKeys.BAT and in explorer double click this batch file (sorry I can't attach it with the right extension as it is blocked by many browsers). Find the text file 'Serif_ProductKeys.txt' on your Desktop and view the contents. Print it out or Save it onto an external drive in case your existing computer drive fails. Staff Patrick Connor Posted June 27, 2022 Author Staff Share Posted June 27, 2022 IMPORTANT Unlocking MoviePlus features is NO LONGER AVAILABLE MoviePlus is a Legacy product that has not been sold by Serif since January 2017. MoviePlus X6 (and earlier releases) are no longer supported and our licensing agreements referred to in the article below are no longer active. The MoviePlus Unlock Server has been taken offline. The MoviePlus software can no longer unlock any features. Serif can not provide unlock codes anymore, as our licensing agreements do not allow us to provide them without the logging and payment provided by the unlock server, sorry. If you still have an old computer that used to run MoviePlus X5 or X6, then these instructions will help you port the codes from one machine to the next Export From Your Existing Computer If you have MoviePlus installed you can export the Feature Unlock Code by going to Tools -> Options, then in Advanced click on Manage Unlock Codes. In the new window click the Export button and you will be asked to choose a location and a name to save the unlock file. Make a back up of this file and you can then use it to unlock your features if you have to reinstall MoviePlus on this or another computer. ALTERNATIVELY If you no longer have MoviePlus installed and the Registry has not been cleaned up you can use the following batch file to extract the unlocked MoviePlus features from the registry to a reg file that can be used to unlock the features on a new install. Download the MoviePlus Batch extraction file When you run the batch file you will be given the following options Extract MoviePlus X5 Codes Extract MoviePlus X6 Codes Extract MoviePlus X6 Digital Edition Codes Exit Depending on the option chosen, one of the following files will be created: c:\MPX5.reg c:\MPX6.reg c:\MPDE.reg To use this file on a new install of MoviePlus (on this or a different computer) double click it and acknowledge the security message and the unlock codes will then be written to the registry and the feature will be unlocked within MoviePlus.
