iconoclast Posted June 3, 2022 Posted June 3, 2022 Hi everybody! I made some experiments again with textures for styles, and I became witness of a very mysterious behaviour in Affinity Designer. The texture has very thin transparent cracks (1,5 pixels, I also tested 1 pixel). I made this cracks, because I wanted to get bevel effects there using the 3D-Layer-Effect. As you can see on the outer edges of the shape, it has a bevel there. But if the whole shape is zoomed in, there are no bevels visible inside the shape. Watch the attached video to see what happens if I zoom in. A bug? Windows 10, Designer 1.10.5.1342 strangePhenomena.mp4 Quote
R C-R Posted June 3, 2022 Posted June 3, 2022 It might help if you could attach a sample AD file so others can test with it. iconoclast Posted June 3, 2022 Author Posted June 3, 2022 No problem. Here it is. Seems that is has to do with the Profile of the 3D-Effect. StyleTest.afdesign Quote

Yes, it looks like a bug when a profile is applied, or at least there is no weird display behavior when I remove the profile in the FX. iconoclast 1 Quote All 3 1.10.8, & all 3 V2.6 Mac apps; 2020 iMac 27"; 3.8GHz i7, Radeon Pro 5700, 32GB RAM; macOS 10.15.7 All 3 V2 apps for iPad; 6th Generation iPad 32 GB; Apple Pencil; iPadOS 15.7
