Exporting png without background

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I got a image 1920 x 1080px and in the middle of tnis image i paint a black circle with 200x200px.

How i can export from Affinity Designer export method, the whole image (1920x1080) with a circle in the middle and no background?

My solution is create a square same artboart size, put transparent and then export... I hate do that.

Thanks.

Under File > Document setup... on the colour tab you can opt to see a transparent background.

Now export the document to a PNG file and it will have transparency.

When creating a new document you can set the document to have a transparent background before clicking Create

In the Export dialogue of PNG, there is a dropdown menu called "Area". If you select the circle (or whatever you want to export) in the document and "Selection only" under "Area", only the circle with a transparent background will be exported. No matter if the background in the document is transparent.
