Staff EmT Posted May 24, 2022 Staff Share Posted May 24, 2022 Hi @Mr. Hall Please could you send a screenshot of the window that appears. Does this only occur when saving a new document or does it happen when you press 'Save As'? maica
Hi Mr Hall, I experienced the same problem and thought it might have something to do with permissions. I opened a window in Finder, went to Applications > Affinity Designer, then command-i for info. At the bottom, sharing & permissions showed system: read and write, wheel: read only and everyone: read only. Normally it says (me), admin and everyone. I changed wheel to read and write, restarted the application and now am able to save again. Hope this works for you too : )
Mr. Hall
@EmT I have stopped using this non-functioning app. The save or savs-as dialogs, except for the text-input field are not active (can not be clicked or interacted with). This app is dead, since nothing can be saved. @maica Thank you for your suggestion. I tried changing all user-levels to 'Read & Write' but it did not resolve my issue. Thanks again. Staff EmT Posted November 28, 2022 Staff Share Posted November 28, 2022 @Mr. HallWhich MacOS version are you running? Could you go to System Settings > Privacy & Security> Files and Folders then add Affinity Designer into that list and try to save again.
