Normally I have been doing Magazines, but now I am venturing into the book world. This book interior is B&W, set on CMYK, but when I upload it to Ingram Spark I get an error (FYI, I also have errors on the cover as well but I would like deal with this first) If read this correctly it is telling me that it is set as RGB not CMYK and that my PDF setting are not correct. Can anyone with more experance tell me what I am looking at???

What file format are you uploading to Ingram Spark?  PDF?  Please show (screenshot) the export options when you export from Publisher.

I believe the "PDF (digital - high quality)" preset will use a RGB colour space.  You can check by clicking the "More" button.  For CMYK output I would use the "PDF (for print)"  or "PDF (press ready)".  You might need to adjust some of the other settings (in the "More" dialog) as well.

Why not choosing grayscale as color space? This would output 1 color ink channel only (Black).

GrayScale does not work either. I would post a photo but it would just look like the last ones I posted. Anyone out there with experance dealing with Ingram Spark?

I see that the image is roughly six inches by three and a half inches and you have stretched it out to 19 by 11 inches. Of course the placed DPI/PPI is going to be lower.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
