sisdsigns Posted May 13, 2022 Posted May 13, 2022 I feel quite ignorant to be posting this question about how to make leading dots between the title and page # in an index 😳, but after spending a lot of time researching tutorials and topics on the forum I still can't add leading dots to my index. Any suggestions on what I'm doing wrong? I can click on the tab stops option under paragraph, and it doesn't insert anything. Quote
firstdefence Posted May 13, 2022 Posted May 13, 2022 You can set a master page and a style for the formatting, here is a post on a similar scenario to you... sisdsigns 1 Quote iMac 27" 2019 Sequoia 15.0 (24A335), iMac 27" Affinity Designer, Photo & Publisher V1 & V2, Adobe, Inkscape, Vectorstyler, Blender, C4D, Sketchup + more... Old Bruce Posted May 13, 2022 Posted May 13, 2022 Once you have an index select the style in which you need the leading dots added. You'll notice that there are two spaces before the page number. Search for two spaces with that Index Entry 1 (or whatever it is called) Paragraph Style. Replace the two spaces with a tab. Now edit the Index Entry 1 style so there is a right tab with distance from the right set to 0. Note that you will have to do the same for Index Entry 2 and index Entry 3 etc. sisdsigns 1 Quote Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6 Affinity Designer 2.5.7 | Affinity Photo 2.5.7 | Affinity Publisher 2.5.7 | Beta versions as they appear. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
