AntiqueFlaneur
I realize this is not a Kindle Direct Publishing help forum, but I'm trying to upload an Affinity Publisher-created manuscript to Kindle Direct Publishing. I get the attached "failed manuscript upload" notice, so I'm not even getting to the point of being rejected by the launch previewer. Any suggestions for where I might be going wrong? Note that I do have a minor preflight error about my table of contents, but I don't think it would be relevant. I've uploaded manuscripts with these preflight errors before. File info included in screenshot. Any idea why I might be rejected?
v_kyr
It's probably related to (though note that I don't know anything about KDP ebook guidelines & setup) ... Save Your Manuscript File Quote The maximum file size for conversion is 650MB. Any manuscript files larger than the 650MB limit will fail to convert when uploaded. Also you may want check their Book Formating guidelines there in terms of setup & resolution etc. and if your PDF document meets those criterias. That notice makes me think your internet connection may be the problem here. sfriedberg
Well, if the document is 283MB larger than the largest they accept, it's possible the upload process is deliberately aborting, with a less than ideal error message.

Yep. It was the file size. It's a long, photo-heavy book. I had to use lower quality to get it uploaded. Thanks for the insight!
