wanggao Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Looked some of the videos, and loved Affinity Photo right away. Now purchased it. How should I start? Some experience with Light Room, Aperture. Thanks. Quote
william7 Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Just to clarify, Light Room and Aperture are DAM (Digital Asset Management) tools whereas AP like PS is a photo editor. As far as where to start, find a photo that you would like to edit and decide what you want it to look like when its done and then start editing it. If you aren't sure how to do something then post a question here (after you have checked the tutorials of course). If you need help seeing what AP is capable of I suggest watching more of and rewatching the tutorials as they give a great overview of the capabilities. Hope this helps. Quote

Sanibonani Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 I purchased Affinity Photo for Mac from AppStore today after having had free trial for a few days. However, I cannot access app. Am awaiting refund now, but would like to use this app in the near future since it was very useful during the trial period. What could have gone wrong? Quote
Staff MEB Posted December 14, 2015 Staff Posted December 14, 2015 Hi Sanibonani, Welcome to Affinity Forums :) Can you give us more details? What happens when you click on the icon in the Launchpad? Is there any error message? Is the app located in the root of the Applications folder (It will not run inside a subfolder)? Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
