I cannot make the Node tool work (Mac Mini M1) -

Hello, I am trying to replicate an effect from this video:

When I get to the Node tool, it is not functioning. I have tried to switch off the program, restart the computer (even the next day), but I am still not able to take the edges of the rectangle and move it, like he does. When I activate the Node tool, the corners of the rectangle are not marked with the blue dots like it is on his video. What am I doing wrong, and can someone help me?

You may not have converted the rectangle into a curve.

The solution was - to do it again, and convert the rectangle into a curve. My mistake. Thanks, Komatös.
