ahnay Posted February 19, 2022 Posted February 19, 2022 I have a .jpg of flowers on white background. I used the tool on the white, and then hit the delete key. Instead of deleting all in white, it deleted both outlined areas, the white and the flower. lol. It made me laugh outloud! Quote
walt.farrell Posted February 19, 2022 Posted February 19, 2022 If you look in the Layers panel of your document, what is the Layer type you're working with? If it's (Pixel) what you're trying should work. However, if it's (Image) you'll need to Rasterize the layer first (Layer > Rasterize or right-click in the Layers panel and choose Rasterize). Thank you. I tried both, and both the image was deleted. However, if i used the eraser tool over it, instead of delete selection? It erased the selected area, the white background. I dont believe this tool work correctly. This post is in the wrong place too. im sorry but will leave it. Mod you can move or hide it? although id like more info on this. Quote
jfw222 Posted February 20, 2022 Posted February 20, 2022 After applying the Flood Selection tool, invert the selection and then jump (j) to a new layer. You can then put a colored layer or other beneath the jumped layer. ahnay 1 Quote
