zwilson Posted February 13, 2022 Posted February 13, 2022 I know you can't scan in images from your scanner directly into Affinity Photo on Windows but for whatever reason my scanner can only scans images in jpg or pdf format. So my question is if I scan a photo in and save it as pdf is it lossless or is it compressed like a jpeg. Because if it's lossless I can just bring it in then save to a different format. Quote
firstdefence Posted February 13, 2022 Posted February 13, 2022 PDF isn't an image format it's a container file that can hold a lot of different file types. Scan it as a PDF in as high a resolution as your scanner will allow and use uncompressed if there is an option to do so. It would help to know the scanner make and model as there may be other forum members with the same scanner. zwilson Posted February 17, 2022 Author Posted February 17, 2022 Sorry for the late reply, life can be annoying at times. It's the HP ENVY Photo 7855. Quote
Rasputin Posted March 5, 2023 Posted March 5, 2023 This is realy annoying the main use I had for serif was to capture and manipulate twain images from my scanner. It was only after purchasing and installing Affinity I found the I could not now do this. So a complete waste of time and money. Komatös 1 Quote
