Bryanmuss Posted February 11, 2022 Posted February 11, 2022 After stacking DSO photos, I can no longer adjust the levels. When I select levels, the pop up box will not appear. I assume I’m an idiot and changed something in settings, but I can’t find anything. Help! Quote
walt.farrell Posted February 11, 2022 Posted February 11, 2022 Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums. How are you trying to create the Levels adjustment? By clicking on the Adjustments icon at the bottom of the Layers panel; or From the Adjustment panel, by clicking on the Levels section. For #2, you would need to click on one of the thumbnail samples (probably the one labeled Default would be good) to add the Adjustment. Bryanmuss Posted February 12, 2022 Author Posted February 12, 2022 (edited) Hello Walt, Thank you for taking the time to respond. The levels pop up doesn't appear from either method. The funny thing is that it has worked for me when I first purchased Affinity photo. I'm very new to this. Edited February 12, 2022 by Bryanmuss Quote
walt.farrell Posted February 12, 2022 Posted February 12, 2022 You're welcome. Interesting. Do you perhaps have multiple monitors? If so, it might be appearing on a monitor you're not looking at. Also, with either method, you should see an adjustment layer added in the Layers panel. Are you seeing that? Bryanmuss Posted February 12, 2022 Author Posted February 12, 2022 I do, however when I minimize everything, I can't see anything. All of the other adjustments show up... Quote
walt.farrell Posted February 12, 2022 Posted February 12, 2022 Odd. No more ideas at the moment. To be clear about this, for method 2, is the Adjustment Studio panel visible on any of your screens? If so, does it show a "Levels" item? It should be the first item in the panel so you might have to scroll to the top of the panel to see it. If it shows, what happens if you click on it? A list of your Level adjustment presets should appear below it & look something like this: Quote All 3 1.10.8, & all 3 V2.5.7 Mac apps; 2020 iMac 27"; 3.8GHz i7, Radeon Pro 5700, 32GB RAM; macOS 10.15.7 All 3 V2 apps for iPad; 6th Generation iPad 32 GB; Apple Pencil; iPadOS 15.7
Bryanmuss Posted February 13, 2022 Author Posted February 13, 2022 Correct. I just can get the pop up box to appear. As stated earlier, it worked when I first purchased and the boxes appear for the other adjustments. Quote

So if for example you click on the "Darken" button, do you not get a popup of the Levels Adjustment window somewhere on your screen? If not, if your external monitor is attached, are you sure the window does not appear somewhere on it, perhaps minimized so just the header appears? Bryanmuss Posted February 14, 2022 Author Posted February 14, 2022 I've now been able to duplicate the error: If AP is running on my extended screen, the levels box will not open If AP is running on my laptop screen, the box will open I can move AP to my extended screen and the levels box remains on laptop screen I can move levels box to extended screen and adjust In order to get the levels box to open again, I have to move AP back to my laptop screen. If I mirror my screens instead of extend them, the levels box opens Quote
