Destructive Crop not Possible?

I want to crop a large image with many objects to about 20% of original image.

AP does a non destructive crop, but part of my goal was to reduce file size and complexity of the image.

It appears to accomplish this its necessary to copy the part I want to a new document is this correct?

Even deleting the large background doesnt help much, it presence still contained in file.

To copy large number of objects, is there an easier way than organizing them in a group, copying group to clip board and creating new doc from clipboard?

Document > Flatten(if you have only one layer) or Right click > Rasterize & Trim(Hard crop selected layers)
