Phos_Gene Posted January 16, 2022 Posted January 16, 2022 Hi, I try to move the four stars in the example by the same distance towards the center star. I thought I could do this with the 'transform separately' option, but there I can only resize them simultaneously. Is there a way to move the objects in a straight line towards the selection center (or maybe even a wholly different point?), without resizing the individual objects? Spoiler I guess this would be called translation. Kind regards! Quote
thomaso Posted January 16, 2022 Posted January 16, 2022 Unfortunately such arrange options aren't available yet. And the "Transform Origin" option works for rotation only, not for move or flip. The closest feature would be the symmetry option in AD but it influences the entire way of drawing and is available for pixel layers only. (Oddly, the Affinity Help Search does not know the keyword "symmetry".) Quote macOS 10.14.6 | MacBookPro Retina 15" | Eizo 27" | Affinity V1
JimmyJack Posted January 16, 2022 Posted January 16, 2022 How about making it into a symbol. Rotate them each in increments of 90º. Move (etc) as you like. symbol move.mp4 thomaso 1 Quote
Eagle Works Posted January 20, 2022 Posted January 20, 2022 Wow! the sky is the limit! I'll have to try some of that. Thanks Quote Bob Windows 10 Affinity Designer: 1.8.5.703
