How do I turn off the function to automatically add a space when typing a word?

Whenever I type any words, it automatically tried to add a space

??? What tried to add a space? Before the word or behind it? On what occasion - what type of text frame? Screenshot, video?

Are you sure it is adding a space character (code point U+0020; ASCII 32) & you are not seeing not something else, like a paragraph indent or maybe the effect of something other than left alignment of the text?

Also, what exactly is "it" you are using to enter text, & what app are you using to do that?

Thank you guys for your quick response! I use Affinity Designer.

The flow of actions is like this:

1. Choose "Frame Text Tool"

2. Create a text box

3. Click it before typing

4. Then the Affinity Designer system automatically puts a blank before the word when I start typing

5. Also when I try to add a character between words, sometime the same thing happens

I believe it is a space character. It looks like not from the effect of left alignment of the text. I chose other ways, and it happens as same

Guys,

I found the cause. This was coming from Mac's os update. I currently use Japanese and English keyboard, but Apple has changed the specification of Japanese keyboard setting with Roma-ji, and that was the problem. I had to make an additional setting to make Affinity Designer to accept Japanese keyboard "with Roma-ji"so that it can deal with JA inputs without errors. Thanks guys for your support. You certainly helped me make clear things to do.
