Either rename in Finder  or saving from illustrator as PDF, the opened file in Designer loss color gradient. Shob

My guess it has some proprietary features that affinity doesn't like.
Maybe someone else has got an solution.

Hope the sw programmer take a look...

This is due to the Mesh Fill layer that the AI file has, this is logged with the developers to investigate further and I'll update the log with this report.
