Megsy Posted December 1, 2021 Posted December 1, 2021 Hello I was wondering if anyone could help, I have watch multiple videos but cant seem to get the answer I am looking for. Below is an example of what I am trying to create, it may appear that the petals are on top of the lettering but I want to be able to cut around the petals, which is perfectly fine except for when I need to cut a B which has two centre holes. I have changed text to curve and tried deleting and joining nodes where appropriate but I am unable to do this with the centre pieces, it fills in the lower part of the shape "B". I have tried working with "create compound" but the option is unavailable. Thank you in advance if you are able to help. Kind regards Meg Quote

Having said that, instead of cutting up the letters I would use the time-honoured masking method: 1. Open the flower image and copy it. 2. Add the letters on top. 3. Paste the copied flower image. 4. Place shapes where you want parts of the flower to stay on top of the letters. 5. Boolean ‘Add’ the shapes to create a Curves layer. 6. In the Layers panel, drag the Curves layer and drop it onto the thumbnail of the upper flower layer.
