I found a tutorial on the internet that shows me how to create text on a path. That also works wonderfully. But then I want to remove the path or at least make it invisible. But I don't succeed.
First I have a level path. Then I write the text and the Path layer disappears or is renamed to Curve Path. I can only make the curve and text invisible or delete them at the same time.
What am I doing wrong?

Is this in Publisher or Photo or Designer?

In Designer and Photo the stroke for the path / curve disappears as soon as the text is started.

With Publisher it can remain, you access the properties for the path / curve by using the Text Frame panel. Those are separate from the properties for the text.

Here is what I see in Designer; notice how the path is gone when not selected.

Affinity Designer 2.5.7 | Affinity Photo 2.5.7 | Affinity Publisher 2.5.7 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
