JulianSchmeizl Posted November 19, 2021 Posted November 19, 2021 Hello, I have downloaded this picture as a premium member:https://www.freepik.com/free-vector/white-light-flash-effect_1136441.htm#page=1&query=glow&position=4&from_view=search But sadly I cannot remove the black-grey background. The downloaded zip folder contains a .jpg and .eps file. And since there is no .png file I cannot remove the background... Does someone has an idea for me? This would be great! I have a solution which is 80% working by using filters to only make the bright part appear but there is still some background visible... You will see both files attached. Best Regards Julian [MOD EDIT] - Files removed from rehosting here, as they can be downloaded from freepik directly for free. RM f/g Posted November 19, 2021 Posted November 19, 2021 Had to use illustrator. AfDesign pixelated it all white-light-flash-effect-1136441 [Converted].pdf Quote Macbook Pro mid 2015, 16 GB, double barrel: MacOS Mojave + Affinity 1 (+ Adobe’s CS6)/ MacOS Monterey + Affinity 2
JulianSchmeizl Posted November 19, 2021 Author Posted November 19, 2021 Why is that a PDF file? Quote

JulianSchmeizl Posted November 19, 2021 Author Posted November 19, 2021 Can you export this as .png? I see this 😅 Quote
JulianSchmeizl Posted November 19, 2021 Author Posted November 19, 2021 Or do you know an option in affinity photo or designer to solve this problem, or can it only be solved in illustrator? Quote
RM f/g Posted November 19, 2021 Posted November 19, 2021 That's what I see as well. Just add a black background yourself and Bob's your uncle! Quote Macbook Pro mid 2015, 16 GB, double barrel: MacOS Mojave + Affinity 1 (+ Adobe’s CS6)/ MacOS Monterey + Affinity 2
Dan C Posted November 19, 2021 Posted November 19, 2021 Hi @JulianSchmeizl, Please see the below FAQ regarding this file, as it explains why it is 'rasterised' when opening in Affinity, but not in Illustrator - I hope this clears things up! Quote
