Borders Gardening Posted November 19, 2021 Posted November 19, 2021 Hi. I used to work in Photoshop and Indesign in a past life as a journalist. I’m now a self-employed gardener and can’t afford Adobe licenses, especially as I am only designing my own leaflets, Facebook headers etc. Three questions, please: - should I look at Photo and Publisher as the closest to the two packages I used before? I assume Designer is more like Illustrator? - Would I be able to import any of my old InDesign files to re-work in Publisher? - Will Photo and Publisher work on my old MacBook running Sierra OS? Hope you can help. Thanks. Quote

Publisher can open IDML files but it can’t open INDD files. 1 hour ago, Borders Gardening said: - Will Photo and Publisher work on my old MacBook running Sierra OS? The Mac versions of the Affinity apps will run on 10.9 Mavericks or later, so they should work OK on 10.12 Sierra. Follow the links below for free trials: https://affin.co/phototrial https://affin.co/publishertrial Each trial lasts for ten days, with the trial clock running continuously from the moment you first launch the app, so it’s best to complete one trial before switching to the other. Thanks to the shared file format, any files saved during the first trial can be opened and edited further during the second one. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
