I created a photo signature recorded in the brushes panel and now whatever tool brush I use the signature pops up. I have tried deleting it from the brushes panel and even going to factory rest but to no avail, the signature still appears whether I use the paint brush, erase brush, blur brush or any other brush. How do I cure this?

The various brushes you mention are actually Tools that will take a Brush from the Brushes panel. Use the brush panel to choose a different brush is the only advice I have for you.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6
Affinity Designer 2.5.7 | Affinity Photo 2.5.7 | Affinity Publisher 2.5.7 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

Screenshots or a video might help.

Walt,

Screenshot below. It does not matter which brush tool I activate it defaults automatically to the signature, whether it be paint brush, erase brush, blur brush or any tool showing as a brush.  The signature was contained within the brushes panel but I have since deleted it but as you see to no avail. It is very strange.

Please show the brushes panel instead of the Colour panel.

But which brush did you choose in the Brushes panel before using the Brush Tool?

I did not choose a brush as was working with the paint brush / white to recover details but it responded with the signature. I have now tried randomly to select a brush type from the panel and the paint brush seems to be working. All other brush tools are still defaulting to the signature.

All the Brush Tools are brushes, and will work with the brush you have selected in the Brushes panel.

Whether selecting a brush for one Brush Tool will affect another will depend, I think, on the brush sharing options you have set in the Assistant Manager.
