AXE57 Posted November 16, 2021 Posted November 16, 2021 I’m considering to pickup Digital Painting. In looking across Tablets to run Affinity, I came across a wide range of options including Wacom, LG, Samsung and iPad. I’m only familiar with iPad Pro with the gen 2 pin. I also have a iMac PC. So, with all the options, I’m wondering if I’m going to spend the money to get the digital tablet, which options would be considered the most effective for running digital operating system like Affinity. That’s what I was wondering. I’ve read all the pros/cons on all the hardware options but, by asking the question, I’m trying to get actual practical tips on which tablet from the user community. Thanks! Alex Quote
Staff DWright Posted November 17, 2021 Staff Posted November 17, 2021 Hi @AXE57, Welcome to the forum As you already have a iPad Pro with a Pencil you could use this for your painting either with the iPad versions on the Affinity app or if your iMac supports sidecar you could use the iPad as a drawing tablet, the advantage of using the iPad version of the apps is that you are not tied to your iMac but can paint wherever you take your iPad and any file your correct are compatible with your desktop version of the apps.
