bob2796 Posted November 16, 2021 Posted November 16, 2021 When I try to watch the Photo video tutorials on Firefox, I get a blank window. I've turned off every tracking protection I know of and have whitelisted serif and vimeo. It shouldn't be this hard to watch a tutorial. I have not had this issue with any other provider. It's difficult to evaluate and use the product effectively if I can't see the tutorials. What's the scoop? I fully recognize this may be operator error, but I'm stumped. Quote

walt.farrell Posted November 16, 2021 Posted November 16, 2021 Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums. Have you tried another browser? On the other hand, some countries block Vimeo, so depending on where you're located that could explain it. In that case, you could watch the YouTube versions. Hangman Posted November 16, 2021 Posted November 16, 2021 As a quick test to see if it's a FF issue or something blocking the video playback have you tried viewing the videos using Safari? Do you experience the same issue? I'm, running FF 94.0.1 on Mojave and all is good... bob2796 Posted November 16, 2021 Author Posted November 16, 2021 Thanks, Walt, They play on Safari, but I try to stick with Mozilla when I can. I'm US based. Quote
bob2796 Posted November 16, 2021 Author Posted November 16, 2021 Hangman, Are you using standard protections or a custom set? Quote
Hangman Posted November 16, 2021 Posted November 16, 2021 In which case there must be something on FF preventing you viewing the videos. You could try starting FF in Safe Mode and see if you have the same issue... Hold down the ⌥ Option key. Click (or double-click) Firefox. Release the ⌥ Option key when Firefox opens. Click Start in Safe Mode when prompted. Troubleshoot Firefox as needed. Alternatively switch off any FF add-ons or extensions to see if that makes a difference... bob2796 Posted November 16, 2021 Author Posted November 16, 2021 I should have thought of using troubleshooting mode. They open up when I do. Good call. Now to figure out which chunk of protecting me from myself Mozilla is using. Thanks, guys. I'll fiddle the settings and post the offending one here. Hangman 1 Quote
bob2796 Posted November 16, 2021 Author Posted November 16, 2021 It's the duck duck go Privacy Essentials extension. I could kick myself for not thinking of that. Added Serif to the unprotected sites and works like a champ. Sorry for the wasted bandwidth. Appreciate the assist. walt.farrell 1 Quote
