Hi,

I've started to create new brushes using the "Textured intensity brush" option. Doing this with both a brush I made myself and one I was given as part of a training course, both times the tail end of the brush glitches and has a missing or moved piece for half of the brush stroke at the tail end. It works fine in the course demo, so I assume it is a problem with my configuration. The start of the brush line is fine, and obviously the files are not like this, it seems to happen on import.

It even shows up this way in the brushes window:

I'm running version 1.10.3.1191 on Windows - I do get a "there's a new version available" popup when I open the application, however after downloading the latest version about 2 weeks ago this window still appeared.

Any ideas?

TIA, Jodie

Any chance you can upload the brush with the glitch so we can take a look see?

Sure, here's one of them, but it happens with every image I turn into a brush, it seems.

Ok, had a play about with the image used to create the brush and the problem appears to be the white edges left and right but predominantly the right. Erasing the  white made a cleaner brush with no distortion/glitch.

Try using the edited brush texture attached.

Update: If you try to clip the lighter area's you will get the glitching result but only at smaller brush sizes, so the larger the brush size and typically above 200, the glitch disappears but below that you will see evidence of glitching especially below 100.

Are you referring to using a different brush, or a different computer here? It may be compounded by Hardware Acceleration on your current machine, which may not have been activated on a different machine where you have tested the same, but further clarification is required!

I can confirm that 1.10.4 is the latest version, so I'd also recommend downloading and updating to this version. You can find a download link for 1.10.4 below -
