Hi @chaleco45,

Sorry to hear you're having trouble!

I can confirm that I'm still able to use this tool here, however I am noticing delay when using the tool with Hardware Acceleration enabled, so I'm logging this with our developers now.

Can you please confirm for me, are you using Windows or Mac? Do you have Hardware Acceleration enabled? (if known)

Many thanks in advance :)

Please note -

Many thanks!

Hi Dan.

thanks for  reaction.

I"m using win 10 Pro.

The problem i HAD is over with the latest version of Affinity, but it does not working good.

When is increase the brush size everything looks OK,but when decrease the hardness the size of the brush aswell decreases,i don"t think that"s the right way it must work!

BTW,Ive seen a tut from Lightroom,i wish Affinity will work like that very nice.

thanks in advance.

regards.

charles

This sounds like expected behaviour, when reducing the Hardness of a brush, the effective size of the brush will decrease, however you should see the px size does not change when adjusting Hardness.

More info can be found regarding Hardness in the helpfile for the app here -

  • Hardness—how hard the edges of the brush are. The brush appears softer as the percentage decreases.

I hope this helps :)
