rachel_d
Since installing yesterday's app update I'm having issues just getting the app to open a file - any file. It just hangs, requires force quitting. (2020 MacBook Pro M1, 16GB RAM, Big Sur). Am I the only one?
R C-R
Which Affinity app(s) are you asking about? FWIW, I updated AD & AP from the Mac App Store without that causing any issues with opening files, but I run Catalina. Drew K
I'm having problems with Affinity Photo, 1.10.3, particularly when trying a "round trip" with a Canon CR2 file from Capture One (build 14.4.0.135). This wasn't a problem before the update. I normally choose the "Edit with ..." option on a CR2 file in my open Capture One library. This gives me options (screenshot attached), which would create a PSD file and open it in Photo. I now get a C1P alert message saying "Unable to open the specified files". I am able to use the "Open" file option (which takes me into Photo's Develop persona), but all my C1P adjustments are lost. I am able to open previously edited .psd images created before the update. Running MacOS Big Sur (11.6) on an iMac Pro (2017 spec). I'm reverting to a previous version. C1P Edit options.pdf

I've updated the apps on my Big Sur M1 Mac Mini and don't have any issues with new or existing files. Are the files stored locally or external/cloud and have you tried uninstalling the app, restarting the OS and installing a fresh copy? Drew K
Update on my problem ... After closing down and reopening C1P, the problem seems to have been resolved
