APEGamer Posted August 21, 2021 Posted August 21, 2021 Is there a way to search for text in a document and replace it with an image? I need to insert icons into a stream of text. Quote
walt.farrell Posted August 21, 2021 Posted August 21, 2021 You can search for text using Text > Find or the Find and Replace panel. There's no way to do a Replace from that panel to replace the text with an icon, but if you've Copied the icon and it's in the clipboard, then as you Find the text it will be selected, and you can simply Paste it (Cmd/Ctrl+V) and it will replace the text you found. You can then click on Find again to get to the next result in the list, and do another Paste. Repeat as needed. If you have a font that has your icon in it, you could do a Replace and include that icon as the replace text string. You could also include a format specification to choose the right font. APEGamer Posted August 21, 2021 Author Posted August 21, 2021 That's what I thought - thanks. I'll have to weigh creating a font vs. just pasting the icons. Quote
uneMule Posted August 21, 2021 Posted August 21, 2021 Bonsoir @APEGamer@walt.farrell L'historique du presse papier (windows-V) peut aider (si vous êtes sous Windows). The history of the clipboard (windows-V) can help (if you are on Windows). walt.farrell 1 Quote Toujours pas !Windows 10 Pro 21H2 - Intel Core i7-3630QM CPU @ 2.40GHz - 16 Gb Ram - GeForce GT 650M - Intel HD 4000 Affinity Photo | Affinity Designer | Affinity Publisher | 2
