bmv2011 Posted August 16, 2021 Posted August 16, 2021 Hi there, I'm currently unable to launch Publisher, Designer or Photo. I have uninstalled the previous versions, restarted my pc and downloaded the latest version. When I try to launch, I get the window in the centre of the screen saying that it is loading fonts etc. and then nothing. Any help would be appreciated. Regards, Barry Quote
bmv2011 Posted August 16, 2021 Author Posted August 16, 2021 I have gone through the forums and I've discovered that there are issues with other software. I have Capture One installed (and recently updated). Does this mean that I have to choose between Affinity or Capture one? Or is there a workaround? Quote
bmv2011 Posted August 16, 2021 Author Posted August 16, 2021 I found a 1.92 version of Publisher. I have installed this and it's working fine. I now need to find 1.92 versions of Photo and Designer and install those. Any idea of where I can find earlier versions of the software? Quote

If 1.9.2 works then you probably do not have the Capture One problem, as it affects 1.9.2, too. So it's likely you're having some other problem. I don't know what it might be, but someone from Serif will probably have some ideas. Dan C Posted August 17, 2021 Posted August 17, 2021 Hi @bmv2011, I'm glad to hear you have 1.9.2 running as expected - as Walt has mentioned I do not believe that Capture One is causing the issues for you in 1.9.2 or 1.10. I understand that you may not want to install 1.10 currently due to the issues you experienced, however if any crash reports were created, these should still be available. Can you please open Windows Run (Windows Key + R) and then paste the following string and press OK: %APPDATA%\Affinity\Designer\1.0\CrashReports\reports %APPDATA%\Affinity\Photo\1.0\CrashReports\reports %APPDATA%\Affinity\Publisher\1.0\CrashReports\reports In each folder, you should see .DMP files generated by the app, each of which has a 'created' date. Can you please send me any DMP files (up to 3 from each folder) that are time/date stamped when you were testing 1.10? These should hopefully allow me to better understand the cause of the crashing in 1.10 for you Quote
