Hello, in 3DCoat you can hit the hotkey ctrl+p to open up the 3Dcoat paint layer stack into an external editor such as photoshop.  I have tried this successfully with krita, but when I use affinity photo it does not open up.   I believe the issue is that I have the Windows Store version of affinity photo, and I need to designate the .exe in 3Dcoat for it to open up.  I went into the hidden folders in my computer to find affinity photos'  Photo.exe file, and selected that; and 3Dcoat does not read it.      Does anyone have a solution to this?  I'd rather not have to buy a 2nd copy of affinity photo.

Hi @Estoc,

I've just done some testing, well @Dan C did on my behalf as i couldn't get 3DCoat to launch on the remote Windows PC i have access to.  Dan found that the CTRL+P option also didn't work for the Affinity Store version of Photo BUT using the menu options Edit>Edit projections in Ext. editor the file was sent to Affinity Photo as a PSD file.  However, sending that file back to 3DCoat is a bit more tricky and you'd have to export it out of Affinity as a PSD file, which has been confirmed on this thread.

So i would certainly try using the Menu options instead of CTRL+P to see that works with the MS Store version.  But failing that, it definitely works with the version of Affinity from our store.

I did try the menu options instead of ctrl+P, and I tried to edit projections in external editor one, but none of that worked.  I have read that windows store apps do not have exe files, and am wondering if the exe file I found in my files is not a correct/usable one.
