RobKlein Posted August 12, 2021 Posted August 12, 2021 fewer than 10 layers, normally I can move around, apply brush strokes, etc, but with this latest version, not sure what happened, but the cursor is flashing on and off, like its working, and I have to wait between strokes for photo to catch up. I also normally can brush off the object to get the feather edge of the brush to affect my selected area, but now, if my brush is not directly over the selected area, the brush stroke does not register. This is quite terrible for me, as I often use just the edge of the brush so its feathered, and now I cannot... DigitalVisuals 1 Quote
Staff Chris B Posted August 13, 2021 Staff Posted August 13, 2021 Hi RobKlein, Can you try disabling OpenCL from Preferences > Performance? If that sorts it, can you please confirm your graphics card and driver? Doing a clean install if the graphics driver can often sort OpenCL related issues. RobKlein Posted August 14, 2021 Author Posted August 14, 2021 my system has an integrated Intel HD Graphics 520 card and an NVIDEA Quadra M500M card which is preferable for Affinity Photo and Designer? Quote
Staff Chris B Posted August 16, 2021 Staff Posted August 16, 2021 I believe both should work with OpenCL but again, will likely be driver dependant. If neither of those are working with OpenCL, I would just disable it for now. Quote How to format a bug report | Learning Resources | List of V2 FAQs | YouTube Tutorials
Rob M. Posted August 16, 2021 Posted August 16, 2021 I've had the same issue but disabling OpenCL worked wonders! My system has a integrated Intel Iris Plus Graphics 640 card. Chris B 1 Quote
RobKlein Posted August 17, 2021 Author Posted August 17, 2021 My NVIDIA Quadro M500M card is the active one and I disabled Open CL and the problem is gone, thanks. Chris B 1 Quote
