This happens on my environment as well (M1 Mac mini / macOS Big Sur 11.5.1 / Affinity Designer 1.10.0 App Store version).

In my case, though, some other Japanese fonts that I installed myself are missing from the list, too (e.g. Adobe Fonts and Google Fonts, etc.).

Hi mogu and Rriver,

Thank you for letting us know. We've reproduced this here and have passed it on to development to be fixed.

In the meantime the workaround of switching language to English Rriver has mentioned will allow you to use those fonts.
