Wacom tablet and the zoom shortcuts command key doesn’t work.

Recommended Posts

I am putting this here even though it affects all three applications, as noted below the latest Publisher Beta works with the assigned button but the Photo and Designer personas do not.

This is an odd one. I use a Wacom tablet which has express keys which can have keystrokes assigned to them. I cannot assign the standard command + 0 (zero) for zoom to fit, or any of the standard command + 1 - 4 for the predefined magnifications. It seems as though the Command key part of the keyboard input is being ignored. However in Publisher Beta it works but for the Photo and Designer Personas it doesn’t.
It is just the View > Zoom menu items that won’t accept the Command key + 0 - 4. If I change the shortcuts in the Affinity applications to use option instead of command then all works well.
Other shortcuts work well, and it doesn’t matter which buttons I choose.
I have just today updated the drivers for the Wacom.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.4
Affinity Designer 2.4.1 | Affinity Photo 2.4.1 | Affinity Publisher 2.4.1 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

@Gabe

Well this is really weird. I just checked with the new 1.10.0 versions and the Wacom button shortcut I made for Zoom to fit now works. Only in instances when I have some text and there is the text caret in the text frame. May well have worked with the earlier versions too. It isn't enough to have the text tool chosen you must have the caret somewhere in the text. Other tools are useless.
